Best Son's Day

This post is more so I don't forget but it was also cute. My 7 year old asked me tonight "When is best son's day?" I asked him what he was talking about and he said that we celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day so he wondered when his day was. I told him I didn't think there was one. So he asked me if we could pick a date and of course I said yes. He said it has to be on a Saturday and the date he chose was July 2nd. So we'll be doing something fun on that day and he already told me what he'd like...art supplies. I love the way kids think!

P.S. - I promise I'll be posting more. Two of my kids have had birthdays plus my cruise to the Bahamas.

Family Fun

Tonight we decided to do something fun as a family. My kids don't really last long at restaurants so we had to go somewhere they'd enjoy. What's more fun for boys than an arcade place where you can play all sorts of games??? It's called Nickel Mania at Jordan Landing. We all had fun playing skeeball, air hockey, basketball and lots more. There were even games Addie's size that she could play. Matt racked up a lot of tickets so the boys could pick a prize... Of course they picked some candy(they have a sweet tooth like me):) After that we went to Yogurtland for a yummy treat. It was a fun night for all of us!

Happy Birthday Tate!

Today my sweet, cuddly Tate-o-bug turned 3. He is so funny because earlier this week I would say to him "who is turning 3 on Friday" and he would get so mad. He said he didn't want a birthday. Now what little kid says they don't want a birthday? If I mentioned the word birthday during the week, I would get a look. He is really into the movie Cars, so that's what kind of party he had. I wanted to decorate last night so when he woke up he would be surprised. (maybe he wouldn't be so grumpy about his birthday) I was right...He had a big grin on his face when he saw the balloons and banner. He had a good birthday and got some fun presents.

The Happiest Place on Earth!

Last week we were able to go to Disneyland for 3 days. My kids love it there, but so do I. You can't help but not be happy when you're there. My parents and my brother and his family also came with us. I don't know what we'd do without their help. Hayden could go on all the rides except for one. His favorite ride was Space Mountain. Tate could go on most of the rides and his favorite was Splash Mountain and the Tea Cups. He definitely did not like the Haunted Mansion. Addison was amused by all the rides she could go on. She was taking everything in. We saw some of the characters in passing, but the lines were too long to wait in for a picture. The only picture we got was with Pluto. Oh wells, I'm sure we will be back in a couple of years. I love going on family vacations. Sometimes I wish they'd never end.

Tate is into Cars right now, so he was excited to see this.

Grandpa and Tate waiting for the 3D Toy Story ride. It's a lot of fun!

Addie's 1st Birthday

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

My sweet baby girl turned 1 on April 18th. It's kind of sad to think how fast time flies by. Sometimes I wish I could bottle my kids up at certain ages and phases of their life. Who doesn't? Anyway, we had a fun little party for Addie. It was an owl theme party...Her invitations said look "whoo's" turning 1. We had our families and a couple of friends over for a barbecue, cake and of course presents! It was like Christmas all over again for Addie.

Addie is our little sweetheart. When she flashes you her cheesy smile, you can't help but smile too. She is a busy little girl and likes to get into anything she can. She has everyone wrapped around her fingers, especially her grandpa's. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!! We love you!

Kindergarten, here I come!!

Hayden started his first day of school today and he absolutely loved it! I thought he would've been a little nervous to go, but he proved me wrong. He was so excited to ride the bus, and I'm sure it made it easier because two of his buddies ride the same bus and are in his class. This morning he asked me if I was going to miss him and I said yes. Instead of him saying that he was going to miss me too, he said he was going to miss Addison. He just loves his little sister. I can't believe that I have a kindergartener(time goes by way too fast). I am so proud of him and I know that he is going to learn so much this year!

Summertime Fun!

Yesterday we went to the Kearns outdoor pool with Matt's family. It's a fun place to go, especially with little kids. Hayden went non-stop for 2 1/2 hours. I wasn't ready to get into a swimming suit yet, so I really didn't take part in all the fun.
